NiE article : Facebook

Hey guys, here's the article that never got to chance to be glanced at: (I know its kinda boring...lame...)

“Geniuses lasts longer than beauty” takes Facebook to a higher level through the look (layout) and the brains behind the screen that keeps the device alive Of course, what is Facebook today if there weren’t any users? Facebook currently holds more than 500million active users and is expanding  at a breakneck speed. Facebook’s creator and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) began when he was 12, whereby he created a internet network for his family, called the Zucknet. Then, the idea of Facebook emerged when he received his copy of the student book containing pictures of their faces. Real action takes flight upon the release of the Facemash.com, followed by TheFaceBook.com among his Harvard classmates.

While many could still be petulant, mark is definitely out of the picture. Mark did not Facebok because he wants a social life, instead hoping the world could share his social life, hence making the world a smaller place, too. Is Mark is to claim Bill Gate’s throne (both dropped out from Harvard, too) to revolutionize the world? Earnest enough, Mark strives to make Facebook as humans’ second nervous system!

A condour himself, and because of you, Mark is world’s youngest billionaire. His income flows in via applications and advertisements. Zynga’s Mafia Wars that got us so hooked up by just clicking “Do Job” buttons has around 19 million players alone! With that so ambitious characteristic of him, Mark will be buying over Oodle.com (similar to ebay.com). Basically, Mark is compressing the world through connections among people b y dreaming big (thanks to his metaphoric vision). It is like creating your design line of shoes hence ideal to anybody’s cup of tea. You get to choose friends or transfer reality friends into your screen and interact with them anytime, anywhere. By cutting down the time required to load a page, Mark looks at minor prospects in differentiating Facebok from other websites.
Apart from direct marketing companies, like Amway, Facebook is the new media. The process could be as easy as clicking on the LIKE boxes. For example, my friend LIKEd the Nike page, then my friend’s name will appear below the Nike advertisement, which gives out the feeling that I might be left out (peer pressure advertising). On the other hand, once I LIKE the page, I might receive product information from Nike (targeted marketing). The circle keeps on expanding, therefore a great way in promoting products, particularly the Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) businesses.

The reason why many are obsessed in Facebook is explained when there is no other perfect world you could ever live in. You get to check out on your farm, then have your blueberries harvested in the blink of an eye. Or, you could execute commands and do jobs in racing to be world’s stongest mafia. Nobody does any quest that efficiently, sometimes with the help from friends, apart from Facebook. Applications, photos, videos, posts, comments, notes, events, friends, groups and pages are ideal places to allow interaction among friends of the same interests. Moreove, by holding Google search results and Youtube videos together, Facebook is like a salad bowl (an encyclopedia will do, too), where all ingredients are thrown inside and blended till an extraordinary aroma is unleashed- the scent of globalization!

Recently, Sony’s Play Station 3 suffered loss of millions due to hackers. What makes Facebook invincible to from hackers, like Anonymous? Most probably hackers have Facebook accounts, too. Definitely it would have been tragic if the virtual pacemaker comes crashing down.
“With great power comes great responsibilities”, be careful, Mark.
