Dreaming KL

KL Tower

Sunset & Bentley Music

I've got my camera fully charged, my SD card cleaned so take there's enough capacity to store the pictures taken....am ready to go.
and the reply I've got :

No, you can't go....

Yea...Dad...you go ahead and enjoy your golf with your friends while I'll face computer screen....
If dad agreed on me going to KL, my plans would be:
(pictures uploaded are original and based on previous experiences)

First: some pictures that are not so related:

Dad dropped me at Bukit Jalil LRT Station, and reload my Touch-N-Go card.

Board the train to Plaza Rakyat, walk around China Town. Then, walk to somewhere nearby KL Tower. I remembered seeing a shopping plaza there nearby, but I've no idea what is it called. It has a row of fountain at the entrance. Stroll to the monorail station (Raja Chulan), I think and head towards Times Square, then Bukit Bintang. Ooh! How I love the ambiance of Bukit Bintang, or some regard as the Star Hill. There's plenty shopping complexes around. When you get down from the train, Sungei Wang Plaza will be just in front of you. Turn right and walk down the stairs, Maybank will be on your left and that's the spot where you get to see performances, like singing, dancing and even real human statues.

Cross the street and you'll see a large LED-lit cube about YES telecommunications, known as the fastest 4G or something like that (I'm not a IT geek, sorry! (why am I even apologizing?)). The green building after the cube is Lot10. at the entrance, look up and you'll see your reflection on how small you are. Walk in and try out the Jackie Chan Cafe or the National Geographic Cafe, both with unique concept. I still remembered the Disco Ball at Jackie's Cafe. Or, if you are hoping for a local authentic Chinese meal, stop by LOT10 Hutong at the Ground floor and let KL's (or even Malaysia's) best Chinese food to tantalize your taste bud! The food court comprises of a variety of food from Wantan Mee to Bak Kut Teh to Dim Sum, and was officiated by Cai Lan, a famous Hong Kong food critique (or critic). The old classic atmosphere with old Chinese songs filling your ears kinda remind me of the Kung Fu Hustle movie directed by Stephen Chow, or to the elders: the struggle and  setting foot in Malaysia, hence introducing the culture (in this case, food!) of the Descenders of the Dragon.

Next shopping centre (hey, I receive British edu, so don't keep on putting red lines under these words!)....
where was I again? Oh...right. Fahrenheit 88 is the newest mall around. The name is kinda attractive. Fahrenheit meaning....you know a unit to measure temperature, and 88 is like the lucky number among Chinese as it signifies wealth and prosperity. Add them together and you'll get 31.1 degree Celcius, which fits KL's temperature perfectly. It was formerly known as the KL Plaza but the whole place was kinda dark and the shops were kinda dead, until they renovated the complex with a brighter and newer (of course) concept. From the middle court, look up (again) and you'll see an oval glass opening, which indeed, revived the whole the place. Furthermore, you could get Japan's trendiest  clothing from Uniqlo, which is famous for its moist-absorbing-then-converting-them-to-heat-jackets (there's a special name for it, but i'm kinda lazy to Google it) I wonder why they sell these stuffs? The first thing in Malaysia would be a raincoat and something that absorbs sweat not moisture! If you're those young-strawberries (which are young people that are shiny on the outside, yet easily bruised in tough conditions) and fancy Japanese/Korean cuisine, yes, go ahead, stuff yourself with stuffed-cold-white-rice-in-seaweeds and drink down those Miso-powder/paste & tea-powder in water in the Japanese/Korean restaurants there.

Ahh! Here comes the coolest thing I've ever seen, besides those things through screen : Starhill Gallery. Yes, it has the best of everything inside there, but always, with a price of course. Each floor has a name, like urmm...I can't remember...sorry! The whole building is pretty quiet and at the centre court is a stage with piano and band performances that adds into its elegance. It houses Sheikh Muzaphar's clinic and plenty of Art Galleries, so yeah, it's like being in the of Rennaissance (although I have no idea how it feels like. But based on the book, it should be similar). Have I mentioned my dining experience in Jagoya? Well, the food was great but I had no appetite that day. But the buffet they serve is totally scrumptious. This is the perfect spot to indulge yourself with ermmm..indulgence, and to relax your mind.

Moving on...the grandest shopping complex in KL...Pavilion KL. The Liu Li Gong Fang Fountain is one the attractions there. It's pretty amazing. They got a new section : Tokyo Street and there you go again, Japanese stuffs and food.  Like other malls, just that this one has more choices, it has cafes, food court, fashion shops, Parkson, art galleries etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.

Then...I would proceed to KLCC. You might think that it's kinda far yo walk from Pavilion. But, it's just a 10 minutes walk to the Convention Centre. I think a link bridge is being built to connect both buildings together...nevermind....we shall see if that happens.

KLCC is one of the world's tallest building. It is pretty much alike other shopping complex, just that it has the largest Christmas tree in Malaysia (brought out during Christmas season only, of course...duh!) It has many entrances, like the Ramlee entrance or something like that. The Petronas Gallery exhibits many activities and exhibition (double "duh"). No cameras allowed, and you have to register at the counter and put your bag into the locker provided. Frankly speaking, the gallery is nothing but a corridor that forms a circle. But, the content is a something that you don't get to see everyday. Oh! the fountain and the park. Yeah...it's a great hang out spot, just that it's packed with smokers as they can't smoke in the building. The park is something special and there's a pool for kids.

After that, I would catch the Kelana train to Masjid Jamek. Change train. Board the LRT back to Bukit Jalil. That sums up my trip to KL. Of course, that's just a dream and my plans would something more exciting if my thoughts are brought into real action, instead of typing it out. I know that the paragraphs get shorter and shorter and sounds dull, but I'm just kinda tired staying at home. Chinese exam for SPM is next week and I've got to hold everything inside me until 8th December.
